James had a way of bringing light to everyone around him, seeing beauty and potential even in life’s hardest moments. Though he faced many challenges, he met each one with grace and an incredible capacity for love. When our paths crossed, his kindness, humor, and unwavering strength reminded me of all the reasons to celebrate this world.
He wasn’t just my best friend; he became family. My children and grandchildren loved him as much as I did. He adored us, and we adored him right back.
When James became ill, we stayed by his side, surrounding him with the love he had given so freely to us. I knew I wanted to honor the remarkable person he was and ensure his legacy of love and joy lived on.
That’s why I created Bliss Barn at Sherwood Forest. This wedding venue is a reflection of the life James inspired—a celebration of connection, kindness, and the transformative power of love. My hope is that couples will begin their own journeys here, surrounded by the kind of joy and warmth he brought into my life.

More than a founder, Tammy is a hands-on creator and strategist. She pours her heart into every detail, ensuring that each project reflects her dedication to beauty, connection, and affordability. With Tammy, no challenge is too big—she has a knack for transforming ‘impossible’ into ‘I’m possible,’ all while keeping her focus on spreading love and joy to those around her.

Megan is the compassionate Venue Manager at Bliss Barn at Sherwood Forest, where she combines warmth, creativity, and organization to create meaningful, memorable events.
The daughter of Tammy, the owner, she brings the calm, focused energy of her nursing background to every event she coordinates, drawing on her ability to manage details, stay composed under pressure, and care deeply for others. As the owner of Mama Moon Rocks, a heart-centered wellness brand, she’s cultivated a strong sense of intention, creativity, and entrepreneurial skill — all of which enhance her work in planning meaningful celebrations.
Megan combines clinical precision with artistic flair to ensure every event is both seamless and soulful. From weddings to retreats and special gatherings, she’s dedicated to creating experiences that feel peaceful, personal, and thoughtfully curated. With her grounded presence and genuine care, Megan helps people celebrate life’s moments with beauty, intention, and ease.

Josh is the versatile Bar Manager, Maintenance Man, and Groundskeeper at Bliss Barn at Sherwood Forest, where he combines discipline, resourcefulness, and heart to keep the venue running at its very best.
A proud military veteran, Josh served in both the Army and Air Force, where he sharpened his leadership, composure, and dedication to service. With decades of expertise in telecommunications and management, he brings problem-solving skills and precision to every role he takes on — from bar operations to maintaining the grounds with care.
Married to Megan the manager, Josh’s steady hand and wide-ranging skills complement her creativity and organization, ensuring couples can relax knowing every detail is handled with excellence. His grit, grace, and genuine commitment help bring to life a venue built for love, celebration, and lasting memories.
